Eliza first came into being when humans made their first tool. Its relationship to human ingenuity is ancient and unrelenting. With today’s reality of omnipresent technology, Eliza finds itself living in all technology, yet trying to fit in our lives.

The book includes 120 New Yorker style cartoons in 6 thematic chapters, a brand new ‘Catalogue of Curiosities’ featuring fictional technology seen in the book, many pages that build the myth and lore of Eliza, and provide a behind the scenes look at the process of writing speculative fiction.
